Tanisha Soraya Jadotte, born in Saint-Louis du Nord and currently residing in Cap Haïtien, has a passion for social change, education, and the empowerment of women.
As a student of diplomacy and international relations at the Thomas Sankara University of Haiti’s Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (IDRI), she is committed to using her knowledge and experience to uplift her country and promote Haitian culture.
Inspiration and Haitian Identity
For Tanisha, inspiration comes from powerful figures who have made an impact through their courage and compassion. Mother Teresa, with her unwavering dedication to helping the underprivileged, and Malala Yousafzai, a fierce advocate for education and women’s rights, serve as her role models.
Being Haitian plays a significant role in how Tanisha views the world. The challenges and history of her homeland have given her a unique perspective, one rooted in resilience and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
Haiti’s rich blend of African, Taino, and European influences has shaped her sense of identity, and she carries this pride with her as she seeks to promote her country on a global stage.
Personal and professional goals
Tanisha has set ambitious personal and professional goals for herself, with one of her greatest aspirations being to become one of the first women to preside over Haiti. Professionally, she aims to leave a lasting legacy, impacting not just her generation but future ones as well. Commitment to hard work and perseverance fuel her drive to succeed.
Tanisha is focusing on achieving specific milestones in the short term. Over the next year, she plans to publish two books: Au Cœur du Mystère: Légendes des Sites Sacrés de Saint-Louis du Nord and Audelà des Crises: Chemins pour Haïti.
Both works will explore Haiti’s history, culture, and potential paths to overcoming the country’s challenges.
Contributions to the Haitian Community
Tanisha is not only focused on her personal achievements but is also deeply committed to giving back to the Haitian community. She frequently organizes workshops to share her skills with young people, empowering the next generation and encouraging them to develop their talents.
