Cassandra Lamour Joseph-King, born on the East Side of Chicago, Illinois, has spent her life in this vibrant city. Her journey toward self-realization and growth began later in life, at the age of 36, when she found inspiration from her spiritual sister, April.
April taught her the importance of not limiting herself and showed her the power of manifestation. This realization provided Cassandra with access to a community of supportive women, enabling her to fully embrace her potential.
Education and career paths
Although Cassandra initially studied criminal justice at Robert Morris College and East West University between 2005 and 2007, she realized that this was not her true calling. However, she has no regrets about her educational path, as it led her to discover other passions.
Cassandra’s professional journey began at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, the largest Hyatt in the world, where she started as a housekeeper in 2010. She received a promotion to front desk host after six years, and by July 2024, she will have worked for the company for nearly 14 years.
Accomplishments and future goals
In December 2023, the InnergeticVIBEZ x Sprinkle Dazzle Collective hosted an event at the Bridgeport Art Center where Cassandra proudly showcased her art. Cassandra’s mentor, April Lynne, encouraged her to pursue her hidden talent for painting, and she made her debut as an artist by selling works for $200.
In addition to her art, she began her fitness journey in January 2023, and after initially doubting herself, Cassandra embraced her role as an amateur bodybuilder. She trains with GeeFit Training Club and has already competed in her first competition, securing multiple accolades, including the #1 vote in the Debut category.
Haitian Community and Vision
Cassandra is passionate about giving back to the Haitian community and hopes to use her voice to speak to the youth about healing and empowerment. Her Haitian pride, humility, and resilience are core aspects of her identity, and she seeks to uplift others through her motivational speaking and eventual work as an author.
Cassandra’s dream is to provide a safe environment for children where education and mentorship are accessible, particularly for those who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Fun, family, and hobbies.
In addition to her professional and artistic pursuits, Cassandra enjoys a variety of hobbies. She loves roller skating, bike riding, reading, and painting.
Her personal life has also been a source of joy and excitement, especially as she recently married her husband, Quindon King, a music artist and performer known for his Spiderman and Michael Jackson impersonations. Together, they share a life filled with creativity, entertainment, and fun, never experiencing a dull moment.
Cassandra Lamour Joseph-King is a woman of many talents, driven by her Haitian roots and a desire to inspire others. She dedicates herself to making a positive impact on the world, particularly in the Haitian community and beyond, whether through art, fitness, or public speaking.
