Anith Benjamin was born in Carrefour, Haiti, and currently resides in South Florida. Her greatest source of inspiration is her mother, whose resilience and hard work have shaped Anith’s perspective on life.
Growing up in a Haitian household, Anith learned the value of perseverance and problem-solving, traits deeply rooted in her Haitian culture.
Education and careers
Anith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Florida A&M University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Barry University. She is already living her dream profession, working in the nonprofit sector to give back to the Haitian community.
Anith is committed to uplifting Haitian students and providing them with the resources they need to succeed. She serves as the Founder and Executive Director of Golden Vie Inc., a nonprofit organization, and the Director of Teen Initiatives at the Boys & Girls Clubs.
Accomplishments
One of Anith’s proudest achievements is founding Golden Vie Inc. in 2019. Golden Vie Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, focuses on supporting Haitian students in South Florida, with a particular focus on Haitian immigrants and Haitian American high school students from low-income backgrounds.
Golden Vie Inc. works closely with Haitian businesses and entrepreneurs to offer scholarships, events, merchandise, and service initiatives. In just a few years, the organization has awarded scholarships and resources to 12 Haitian scholars.
Anith’s work has not gone unnoticed. The Haitian Chamber of Commerce of Florida recognized Anith as one of the “20 Under 40 Young Professionals” in 2020, and Legacy Magazine named her one of South Florida’s Most Prominent and Influential Black Women in Business and Industry in 2023.
Goals and vision
Anith’s goals revolve around expanding her impact on the Haitian community, particularly in education. She aims to scale her efforts to provide more resources to Haitian students, ensuring they have access to the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.
One of her specific goals for the next 12 months is to host a back-to-school drive for Haitian students. This event would provide school supplies, free haircuts, and resources to Haitian families, further supporting the next generation.
Community Impact
Anith’s work in the Haitian community is deeply meaningful. Through Golden Vie Inc., she continues to advocate for Haitian students, offering scholarships and other forms of support to help them achieve their dreams.
Her desire to further develop programs and host fundraisers reflects her commitment to the long-term success of these students.
Hobbies and personal interests
Outside of her professional and community work, Anith enjoys shopping and creating content. Anith’s creativity and innovative thinking enable her to enhance the performance of every organization she engages with, and she consistently seeks opportunities for innovation and improvement.
