Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Bianka Choute currently resides in Ansapit, in the southeast department. Her parents deeply inspired her from an early age, instilling in her a sense of perseverance and positivity.
Even in their final days, they encouraged her to strive for success. Their determination and unwavering support have been a guiding force in her life, driving her to overcome challenges and pursue her dreams with passion and resilience.
Education and current work
In 2017, Bianka finished her classical studies and then enrolled in the INUKA faculty to study management science. Although she couldn’t complete the full program due to Haiti’s structural challenges, she channeled her skills into entrepreneurship.
Bianka runs a small business where she offers nail art, makeup services, and handcrafted crocheted bags. These creative pursuits allow her to meet her financial needs while pursuing her passions.
As she aptly puts it, “Since the head is not cut, you must expect to wear a hat.” This Haitian proverb encapsulates her belief in keeping hope alive for future opportunities.
Career Accomplishments and Goals
In the last 12 months, Bianka has devoted herself to learning technical trades such as nail art, makeup, and crocheting. Through dedication and passion, she has honed these skills, which have become the cornerstone of her business.
Bianka’s goals are both personal and professional. She aims to push herself out of her comfort zone by improving her skills and reaching a wider customer base. Over the next year, she plans to explore new business opportunities, further develop her craft, and expand her online presence.
Contribution to the Haitian Community
Bianka is passionate about giving back to her community. One of her dreams is to create an organization to support disadvantaged children and adults. Her goal is to empower the underprivileged, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities to succeed in life.
Bianka takes pride in her Haitian heritage. She deeply appreciates the deep-rooted passion for hard work in Haitian culture, along with the joy that Haitians derive from their music and traditions. “When the drum sounds,” she says, “even if you don’t want to shake your head, you can’t help but move.” This connection to her roots inspires her every day.
Hobbies and personal interests
Crocheting is one of Bianka’s greatest talents, and she is determined to bring her crocheted bags to both the national and international markets. She also enjoys reading the Bible, which she finds a source of comfort and inspiration.
Vision for the Future
Bianka dreams of launching a platform to advocate for the employment and empowerment of youth, especially women. She believes that companies should offer young people opportunities without demanding excessive experience. Through her platform, she aims to inspire others to push forward despite obstacles and to recognize the true value of women in modern society.
