Personal Life and Educational Background
Born in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, Renaud Jean Louis moved to Florida 28 years ago, bringing with him a deep-rooted commitment to helping others. His personal values of humility, respect, and compassion have guided his professional journey, shaping him into a dedicated healthcare provider and advocate.
Jean Louis’s impressive academic background reflects his thirst for knowledge and commitment to professional growth. His educational journey began at Miami Dade College, where he earned an Associate in Arts degree in 2000. He then pursued a bachelor’s degree in business administration and human resource management from Florida International University, graduating in 2003. Recognizing the importance of leadership in public service, he obtained a master’s in public administration from Nova Southeastern University in 2006.
However, his true calling in healthcare led him back to Nova Southeastern University, where he earned a Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) in 2010, followed by a Master’s in Nursing (MSN) in 2016, with a concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Not stopping there, he pursued a post-master’s certificate in Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP) in 2020 and an additional post-master’s certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Wilkes University. His educational journey culminated in 2023 when he earned his Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) at Wilkes University.

The Birth of Remart Medical Consultant
Jean Louis’s experience working at Jackson Memorial Hospital exposed him to the harsh realities faced by many working-class families who struggle to access quality healthcare. He saw firsthand how a lack of preventive care and follow-ups led many patients to end up in palliative or hospice care. Determined to change this narrative, he partnered with Martine Phillips to establish Remart Medical Consultant, a clinic dedicated to bridging the gap in healthcare accessibility.
Remart Medical Consultant, located in Davie, Florida, was founded with a mission to educate, prevent, and raise awareness about the importance of preventive medicine. Jean Louis and his team employ a multidisciplinary approach, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive medical and psychiatric care. The clinic’s unique model emphasizes patient-centered care, effective communication, and a commitment to addressing both physical and mental health needs.
One of the key differentiators of Remart Medical Consultant is its focus on mental health. The clinic operates seven days a week, including Sundays, to accommodate patients who may not be able to seek care during traditional weekday hours. Additionally, Remart Medical Consultant offers telehealth services, making it easier for patients in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and remote areas to access quality care.
Goals for 2025 and Beyond
Looking ahead, Jean Louis has ambitious plans for Remart Medical Consultant. His primary goal for 2025 is to expand the clinic’s services to other counties in South Florida, including Naples, Port St. Lucie, Fort Myers, and Orlando. This expansion will allow more communities to benefit from Remart’s patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Beyond Remart Medical Consultant, Jean Louis has future aspirations to establish a concierge medicine service tailored to elderly patients who have difficulty visiting healthcare facilities. This initiative would enable healthcare providers to visit patients in their homes and prescribe medications directly to their local pharmacies.
He also envisions creating a specialized preventive care clinic catering to working-class individuals dealing with chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease. His goal is to provide proactive management of these conditions before they escalate into more severe health issues.
Word of Advice for Haitian Youth
As a Haitian immigrant who has built a successful career in healthcare, Jean Louis is passionate about inspiring the next generation of Haitian youth. He believes that discipline, consistency, and determination are the key ingredients to success. For young Haitians aspiring to excel in any field, he emphasizes the importance of education and continuous self-improvement.
