Ricardo Desulme was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and now lives in Delmas, a bustling suburb of the capital. His journey has been one of self-discovery, hard work, and resilience.
Ricardo is a global citizen who views the world through the lens of his unique experiences and aspirations, despite having his roots firmly planted in Haiti.
Inspirations and Haitian Identity
Ricardo finds inspiration in music, modeling, and nature. Deeply connected to the artistic world, he enjoys expressing himself creatively. However, being Haitian comes with its own set of challenges. “Being Haitian doesn’t affect how I see the world; what affects me is how the world sees me as a Haitian,” he notes.
His statement speaks to the common struggle of many Haitians who face stereotypes and preconceived notions about their nationality. Despite this, Ricardo takes pride in his heritage, embracing the courage and strength that come with being Haitian.
Education and workplace experience
Ricardo has studied computer science and trained as a bodyguard, showcasing his diverse skill set. Currently, he works as a bodyguard in France, where he provides security services for high-profile clients at MBC.
Although he takes pride in his current profession, Ricardo’s true dream lies in acting and leadership. “I’ve always dreamed of being an actor and a powerful army leader,” he says. His goals reflect his desire to inspire others and lead by example, whether it’s through entertainment or military service.
Accomplishments and future goals
One of Ricardo’s biggest accomplishments is his ability to take care of his family. “Being able to pay my own bills is a big deal in Haiti,” he proudly states. While he doesn’t consider this an extraordinary achievement, it’s clear that providing for his family in a challenging environment is a source of pride for him. Over the past 12 months, Ricardo has focused on maintaining his career and supporting his loved ones, and he hopes to continue building on that success.
Looking forward, Ricardo’s ultimate goal is to achieve financial success in order to assist others. “I want to be rich because I like to help, and I hate poverty,” he explains. His desire to create more jobs and give back to his community reflects his deep sense of responsibility and empathy for others.
Passion for the Haitian Community
Ricardo frequently helps others when he can, and one of his dreams is to create more jobs in Haiti to combat poverty and uplift his community.
He’s also passionate about modeling and motorsports, talents that he believes could benefit the Haitian community by showcasing a different side of Haitian culture and innovation.
Personal interests and fun
When he’s not working, Ricardo enjoys riding motorcycles, hanging out with friends, attending pool parties, and camping. His connection with nature remains strong, and he loves to admire the beauty around him.
With dreams of developing his talents further, Ricardo hopes to continue pursuing his love of motorcycles and modeling in the future.
