Sarnia Michel is a success story in the making. She was born in PAP Haiti and worked hard to build the life sheโs living today. Despite the hardships and lack of resources for women of color, Sarnia is grateful for her lifeโs circumstances because they shaped her into the woman she is today. Fortunately, everything changed for her when she moved to Florida in 2000.
Personal and Professional Life
Sarniaโs path in life is nothing short of outstanding. Currently, Sarnia owns two real estate companies: Title Experts of South Florida and P3 Realty Group Broward.
She says her road to success was nothing short of grueling, but worth it in the end. Her toughest challenge was building her reputation in a male dominated Real Estate industry. โ[The most difficult thing was] earning the communityโs trust,โ Sarnia says. โOnce they saw the quality of the services I provide, all the skepticism disappeared. They saw that I would do everything that benefitted them and that I was fighting for them.โ

Today, Sarnia has numerous satisfied clients and a Stellar reputation in the industry, which only keeps growing. Moving forward, Sarnia hopes to increase her real estate presence and accrue an even larger database of satisfied customers. Sheโs confident this will happen thanks to her discipline, integrity, hard work, and high-quality service.
Sheโs married to an influential businessman and has two boys who are also interested in her line of work. All of her efforts are directed at helping her young boys succeed and become financially independent and self-sufficient.
Whatโs Holding Haitians Back
When it comes to her Haitian heritage, Sarnia couldnโt be any more grateful and proud. She knows her Haitian identity will always define who she is. However, sheโs also a realist and recognizes that Haitian-born youth have few options.
Haiti is known to fare poorly in terms of security, stability, and professional opportunities, which means many young adults have close to zero prospects for a prosperous future. This is why she moved to the US to expand her horizons and open the door to new opportunities. But Sarnia says thereโs hope for young Haitians because she believes they can change their lives.
Itโs all a matter of faith, discipline, consistency, self-confidence, integrity, and hard work. Everything else will follow. Her advice resonates with many Haitians who donโt see a way out of their situation. โIf someone else can do it, you can do it too,โ says Sarnia. โPut in the work and stick to it and you will prevail.โ Sarnia believes her story is the best example of someone who started with nothing and ended up with more than somethin
Sarniaโs story doesnโt end here, as she has many other plans for the future. She believes that anyone can replicate her success with a bit of luck, tons of hard work, and a solid work ethic.
How Sarnia Helps Haiti
If thereโs one thing that Sarnia believes can save Haiti, it would be education. Nothing is more impactful and has a bigger potential to change peopleโs lives than education, as knowledge truly is power. Thatโs why Sarniaโs support comes in the form of a non-profit that aims to help Haitian youth complete their studies and improve their chances of success as independent adults.
โOur non-profit is geared at helping children in Haiti by providing scholarships, school supplies and meals, and constant support and guidance,โ says Sarnia. She hopes her impact will last and that, with the help of those around her, she can bring about positive change in the Haitian community.

However, Haitiโs political turmoil has prevented Sarnia from providing the services that she wants to. Her hope is that things will change so that her organization can resume work and provide the much-needed help to the Haitian children.
Few things are more inspiring than the power of example. So, Sarnia uses herself as a role model and example of what hard work, dedication, and discipline can do for oneโs personal and professional life. โI would like to be one of the most famous Haitian trailblazers,โ says Sarnia. โAnd to leave a good legacy behind me.โ
