Yves has clear ambitions for both his personal and professional life. His ultimate career goal is to own a dental practice where he can provide care tailored to each patient’s needs. He is committed to ensuring that every patient feels heard and satisfied with their treatment, all while offering his expertise and feedback.
In the next 12 months, Yves aims to treat as many patients as possible at Tufts Dental School while also mentoring aspiring dental students. He recognizes the resilience and strength embedded in Haitian history and how it inspires him to persevere in his own life. His favorite aspect of being Haitian is the community’s hardworking spirit and determination to stand up for what is right, characteristics that he carries with him in his career and personal endeavors.
Yves is also passionate about maintaining his Haitian Creole language and culture. Though born in America, he values the ability to speak Creole and enjoys the rich traditions of Haitian food, which remind him of his heritage.
Advocacy for the Haitian Community
One of Yves’ primary goals is to serve as an advocate for the Haitian community, especially those interested in entering the healthcare field. He aims to guide aspiring Haitian professionals by providing mentorship and sharing his experiences in the dental industry.
He hopes to break down barriers for the Haitian community and inspire others to pursue their passions despite any obstacles they may face. Yves believes that persistence and a commitment to cultural pride are key to overcoming challenges and advancing both individually and collectively.
