Rose Abigaëlle Louis was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where she has lived her entire life. Surrounded by supportive family and friends, Rose finds inspiration in those close to her.
“Seeing how much they believe in me motivates me and pushes me to do much more than what I’ve already done,” she explains.
The Haitian Perspective
As a Haitian, Rose is keenly aware of the challenges her country faces, including political and economic instability. These difficulties, coupled with discrimination, have shaped her worldview. “There is always something to prove, to show we are capable, worth the trouble,” she advises.
Despite the hardships, Rose takes pride in her resilience, determined to represent her country on the international stage and show the world the strength and potential of Haitians.
Education and the Career Journey
Rose studied legal sciences at the University of Port-au-Prince, but her passion lies in the world of fashion. She furthered her education by taking a make-up course in the Dominican Republic at Infotep, which helped her hone her skills in the beauty industry.
While she has taken significant steps toward her dreams, her ultimate goal is to become a professional model and thrive in the world of fashion.
Achievements and experience
Rose’s career as a model has already seen impressive milestones. She has posed for the beauty brand @almocosmetics and walked the runway for Collection 1804. One of her proudest moments was participating as a mannequin in the video shoot for the song “#TropChalè,” which, though she was not the lead model, was a rewarding experience for her.
Rose also had the opportunity to participate in beauty pageants such as the Victoria Beauty Pageant and Miss Face of Africa, exceptional platforms that allowed her to showcase her potential and gain valuable exposure.
Future Goals
Rose’s personal and professional ambitions are vast. She aspires to be considered an expert in her field, become a role model for others, and expand her horizons by living and working in another country. One of her key goals is to master one or two new languages.
Professionally, she aims to sign with a well-known modeling agency, take on new challenges, and demonstrate her full potential. For the next year, her goal is to compete in international beauty pageants like Miss Universe or Miss World, where she hopes to represent Haiti on a global platform.
Talent and Creative Expression
In addition to modeling, Rose has a passion for drawing, a talent she hopes to develop further. She views drawing as a powerful form of expression that would allow her to share her creativity with the world.
If given a platform, Rose would use her voice to promote the world of fashion and modeling, with a focus on demystifying the profession and offering practical advice to aspiring models. Her goal is to bring greater visibility to Haitian talent and inspire others to follow their passion in the creative arts.
