Wrendly Mesidor: A Hero for Education and Community Development

Wrendly Mesidor, originally from Saint Louis-du-Nord, Haiti, has spent most of his life in Miami, Florida. After moving to the U.S. at a young age, Wrendly completed his education in the Florida and Miami-Dade school systems.

For nearly two decades, he has called North Miami Beach home, where his passion for education, community involvement, and leadership has flourished.

Educational Background

Wrendly’s academic journey is a testament to his dedication to self-improvement and the betterment of his community. He holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Broward College and a Bachelor’s in Organizational Communication with a Minor in Management from Florida International University (FIU).

Recently, Wrendly completed his Master of Science in Mass Communication, also from FIU, which further deepened his expertise in communication, leadership, and organizational development.

Throughout his educational career, Wendy has been an active leader. He served as the Student Government Association’s Lieutenant Governor and the Student Programming Council’s Regional Director at FIU.

Additionally, Wrendly was a founding father of Delta Tau Delta (DTD) and earned a Global Learning Medallion upon graduation. His academic accolades reflect his commitment to leadership, development, and the cultivation of future public service leaders.

Professional Aspirations and Achievements

Currently, Wrendly works as an academic instructor, where he helps shape the next generation of leaders. His passion, however, extends beyond the classroom. Wrendly is exploring various career paths in educational and political affairs.

His ultimate goal is to assume leadership roles that allow him to develop others and make a positive impact on the community.

In addition to his work in education, Wrendly has made significant contributions to his local community. He ran for City Commissioner of North Miami Beach in 2022, a campaign that reflects his desire to improve the quality of life for his fellow residents.

Wrendly also holds prominent positions in local government, serving on North Miami Beach’s Multicultural Committee and as Vice Chair of the Redevelopment Advisory Board. These roles allow him to be directly involved in community development and civic engagement.

One of Wrendly’s proudest achievements is the development of a civic engagement program at Broward College, designed to inspire future leaders in public service. His dedication to education and community involvement is evident in all of his endeavors.

Community Engagement and Goals

Wrendly’s connection to his Haitian roots remains a driving force behind his desire to serve his community. As Vice President of “Empower Haiti,” a nonprofit organization, Wrendly helps Haitian citizens access the resources they need to lead more prosperous lives.

One of Wrendly’s long-term goals is to create more opportunities for community development, particularly for the younger generation. He believes in setting up the youth for success by providing them with the tools and knowledge to build wealth and achieve their dreams. His notary services are one way he helps community members who may not be able to afford or understand the legal process involved in notarization.

When he’s not working or serving his community, Wrendly enjoys studying, working out, exploring new places, and making new friends.
