I would like to be on the cover of Haiti Open Magazine because of the love i have for my culture. Growing up in the states with Haitian parents is something i wouldn’t have traded for anything. I used to be ashamed of being Haitian because of the negative stereotypes that Americans and others portrayed us to be. As I’ve gotten older and educated on the history of Haiti i see that we are strong, beautiful and resilient people. Being on the cover would be an honor to represent our wonderful culture and to inform others who may feel like i did growing up that we are nothing to be ashamed of.
