My parents moved from Haiti to Philly in 1994 . They had 7 kids and I’m number 2 . I watched them work hard for everything that they have and I see so much of myself though them . My Haitian blood makes me strong and powerful . I’m 27 years young and I love my culture the food is the best . I wouldn’t want to be any other culture other than Haitian . I moved to California to follow my dreams and work on myself and my family legacy. Today is Haitian flag day and I’m pretty lonely back home in Philly I hung out with the Haitian community a lot and we would celebrate this day in honor of our ancestors. I miss the food and the rum drinks . I started my own Haitian Caribbean catering business in Cali because the amazing food like black rice and Haitian Mac and cheese is missing from this place . I have so much family in Haiti right now and I just want to take care of them and make everyone proud so I would be grateful to be on the cover or even featured in your magazine.
