My name is Stephanie Derisma and I am an artist. I was born in North miami and raised in Elmont New York. I speak fluent creole. I love getting creative and would describe myself as outgoing and friendly. I am an aspiring writer/director and would love to have my own production company one day to create more on screen opportunities for others that look like me! I am inspired when I see Haitians following their dreams while being fearless in the process. I recognize it’s not always easy gaining support from your family when you decide to go against their wishes for you! Its important we enter these spaces in the industry so our stories can be told. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends while keeping God first in my life! As an abstract artist I am continually working on new projects and showing my work in local exhibitions. I find art to be very therapeutic after the death of my parents from medical complications. I learned taking care of my health and staying active is key to a happy healthy lifestyle! My angels are with me at all times and I am blessed to have been able to acquire the necessary skills by faith to keep me motivated. I look forward to
