Parents From: Mom- cotes de fer, Dad-Port de paix, me-Port-au-Prince Born from the rich soil of Haiti and being a kidnapping survivor 6 years ago, my story is bound to inspire. Hi, I’m Michaella and I’m 20 years old. I am currently doing a double major, biomedical science on a pre-med track and nursing just for security. I am an entrepreneur, whose most prominent business caters to Haitian Immigrants in my community in Tampa Florida and I am currently working on app that should be released later this year. I love a lot of things! I love God, horsebackriding, rollerskating, the Gym, and cars! I love cars so much that on Sundays I work in a dyno and tuning shop that is owned by a good friend of mine. Anyways, this is all to day, I’ve been in the country for about 6 years and man, I never imagined I’d be where I’m right now! By being on the cover of the magazine, I wish to instill hope and inspiration to the upcoming generation and newcomer immigrants to not be dismayed and to keep working hard, because there’s a way up, as long as you’re willing to put in the work. Not only hard work, but smart work.
