I would like to be on the cover of Haiti’s open Magazine because I feel like I represent the Haitian kids leaving in a foreign country. Like most of them, I came to the U.S.A with nothing but a dream of being able to give back to my country and my parents for working hard and leading me in the right path of life. My journey of adjusting to a new country wasn’t easy, I was bullied because I had a strong accent, they bullied me for eating “dirt cookies” and for just being different, their sharp words sadly made me hate where I came from, and who I am . Being on the Cover of that magazine will give the little girls hope that the bullying stops, the hardship stops, and the self hatred stop.Haitian people are beautiful, we are strong, we are brave and that should be shown everywhere.
