My name is Rhode Ubsen Thelus, I’m 28 years old, and I was born in Haiti. I left when I was just two years old and grew up in the Bahamas, where I graduated high school. At age 18, I moved to the United States, where I currently live. I am deeply passionate about martial arts and have dedicated myself to training and teaching kids Tae Kwon Do, self-defense, MMA, kickboxing, and more.
I recently earned my red belt in Tae Kwon Do and am currently an amateur MMA and kickboxing fighter. My ultimate goal is to become a professional fighter and represent Haiti with pride. I want to show the world that Haitian people can dream big and achieve greatness through discipline, strength, and determination. Being featured on the cover of Haiti Open magazine would be an honor—it would allow me to inspire others and give back to the community that made me who I am.
