As an activist in the Haitian communities of Broward and Miami-Dade County, I’ve been mobilizing residents to increase voter turnout and encourage civic participation and engagement in my community. When I’m not in the field canvassing, organizing events or sponsoring them, you can find me writing dialectical pieces to educate other communities about Haitian politics and history on my social media channels and in person in my day to day life. I love my country, and although our president and many elected officials don’t see the value in my land, I am committed to seeing Haitians win—economically and culturally. The revolution began with us, so that only means that it will end with us too.
