Guervara Fleuridor

My name is Guervara Fleuridor, but most people know me as Leyka. I’m 24 years old, and I came to the U.S. from Haiti when I was just 14. That journey shaped who I am — a bold, creative, and resilient Haitian woman with a deep love for my culture and people.
I would love to be on the cover of Haiti Open magazine because I represent the strength and beauty of the Haitian diaspora. My story is one of growth, courage, and staying true to my roots while building a new life in America. Being featured would not only honor where I come from but inspire others who are walking a similar path. I want the world to see the power, pride, and potential that lives in every Haitian heart — especially young women like me.
