My life is a movement towards liberation. I write to you on the same day the country I was born and raised in celebrates it’s independence. It wasn’t until I moved to Haiti in 2020 that I truly began to realize that neither Haiti or America has the independence they claim.
With my unique artistry and loving service to the land I am creating a life that is based in liberating regenerative sovereignty. My singing, art collages, and cotton work are the avenues through which I am aiding to free the enslaved mentalities of a consciousness that is riddled with lies of poverty and unworthiness. We have everything we need on this beautiful land and I believe I can be an impactful example of how to live a fulfilled life in freedom.
My small gardens are growing lots of gorgeous cotton that I have planted over the last 3 years. This is the work of Atelye Jozye. We grow the fibers of cotton and transform them into handmade clothing that requires no imports or dependency on companies that have no investment in our value.
