Hello, my name is Mowenta! I am 21 years old, born in Haiti but have been living in the U.S since I was 7. I am fluent in Creole & English and striving to be fluent in Spanish and French. I’m currently in college aspiring to be a PA in radiology. I would love to be featured in this magazine because I love anything that brings a positive light to my country. I love to travel and it hurts my heart and saddens me that I am not currently able to travel to my country with everything going on. With the travel ban and the revoking of TPS from Haitian refuges I think it’s sad that a country and it’s people who led so many others in claiming their independence is neglected and abandoned in a time of need but despite this all I appreciate any love and light being shone on the country and our people. Regardless Ayiti will persevere and won’t be kept down for long.
