I’m a Haitian/ American that was born and raised in NY but traveled to Haiti often until I lived there my high school years. It was one of the best experiences of my life; getting the chance to learn about my roots was a blessing. I would like to join this competition to show people that it doesn’t matter where you live in the world you can still show up for your roots, you can still claim it, and represent it as much as you can.
