Hello, my name is Teresa.
The reason I would love to be featured on the cover of Haiti Open Magazine is because I truly love Haiti and all of the Haitian people. Both of my parents are Haitian, and I come from a long line of proud, hardworking individuals with family spread across Haiti, Saint Martin, and the United States. Within my family, we have many medical professionals—nurses, dentists, and others dedicated to helping people—and I hope to follow in their footsteps by working in the medical field as well.
My dream is to represent the beauty, strength, and intelligence of Haiti. I want to show that you can be both beautiful and smart, and that Haitian women embody that balance every single day. Haiti is full of powerful, talented, and brilliant people, and I want to be a representative of that legacy—especially for young girls who need to see someone who looks like them chasing big dreams.
Ever since I was young, people have told me that my eyes hold something special, almost magical. I hope to use that light—not just from my eyes but from my heart—to inspire, uplift, and represent Haiti with pride.
