Family Roots: From Cap-Haïtien to North Miami
The story begins in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, where my parents, Pastor Erick Jules and my mother, began planting seeds of faith, perseverance, and family. In 1990, they made the courageous decision to migrate to the United States, seeking better opportunities for the family they would raise. They brought with them very little material wealth but were rich in discipline, culture, and a deep commitment to service and education. In the heart of North Miami, they raised six children—two would become police officers (Jobans Jules (myself, North Miami Police) and Christian Jules (Hollywood Police Department)), two became nurses at Baptist Hospital, one earned a Master’s in Finance (Job Jules), and another pursued a legal path.
