About the Cover Story Candidate

Lissa Louis
Lehigh Acres, US
IG: @Theswflbroker
Parents From: Mother: Okap | Father: Lenbe
My name is Lissa Louis. I am a proud Haitian-American woman who migrated to the United States at the age of three and became a U.S. citizen twenty-four years later. That journey shaped everything about me. It taught me resilience, vision, and the power of faith. Today, I am a licensed real estate broker, a nonprofit leader, a mother, a wife, and a speaker but more importantly, I am a woman determined to shift the narrative. I want to be on the cover of Haiti Open because my story is not just my own. It belongs to every Haitian child who grew up in a country that didn’t always reflect their dreams. It belongs to every woman who was told that being Haitian, being Black, or being a woman meant her voice had limits. I am a part of a successful real estate brokerage in Florida, I’ve launched initiatives to feed the homeless, led financial literacy programs, and created a platform that uplifts others. I’ve beat every statistic that was stacked against me. I’ve turned struggle into strategy and setbacks into stepping stones.
But what makes me different is not just what I’ve done, it’s how and why I do it. I lead with faith.
