My name is Loria Nora Augustin. I am a proud Haitian-American, a first-generation college student, and military-bound. As the daughter of Haitian immigrants, I’ve grown up with a deep appreciation for my culture, language, and the values of strength and perseverance. I speak Haitian Creole and French fluently, and I carry my heritage with pride in everything I do—from academics to leadership, community service, and my personal growth journey. I am pursuing both college and a military career because I believe in pushing limits and breaking barriers—not just for myself, but for my community. Being on the cover of Haiti Open Magazine would be an incredible honor. It would allow me to represent the next generation of strong, proud Haitian youth who are proving that we can lead, serve, and succeed at the highest levels. I want to inspire others to embrace who they are, chase their dreams, and stand tall in their identity.
