I’m Sabine Dieme-Erlich, a proud Haitian-American woman born and raised in Miami, Florida, where big dreams often met even bigger risks. As a survivor-turned-advocate, speaker, and founder of Lights, Camera, Action for Change, I created the program I wish I had: a trauma-informed roadmap for emerging creatives navigating an industry that can be as dangerous as it is dazzling.
Being on the cover of Haiti Open isn’t just about visibility, it’s about purpose. It’s about showing the next generation of Haitian dreamers that they don’t have to sacrifice their safety or self-worth for success. It’s a chance to amplify a movement that protects our creatives, honors our culture, and proves that Haitian excellence belongs in every spotlight.
