As the child of two Haitian immigrants, born and raised in South Florida, I carry both the pride of my heritage and the drive to honor the sacrifices my parents made. I’m now a systems engineer—a field where Haitians are underrepresented—and I want to show that we belong in every room, from the lab to the boardroom.
Being on the front page of Haitian Open Magazine would be more than a personal achievement—it would be a tribute to every Haitian child chasing a dream with determination and heart. I want young Haitians to see someone who looks like them, shares their background, and is thriving in spaces we aren’t usually in, so they know they can do the same, and more.
