My name is Victoria Montanez-Roberts. I am a first generation Puerto Rican and Haitian American. I was born in Queens, NY. I have been helping my elders in the kitchen since a child and that is where I developed my love of cooking. My Haitian side of my family was very big on education so I achieved my Bachelors degree and became a Special Education Teacher following in the footsteps of my mother who was a teacher and administrator and my aunts. One aunt being Dr. Carole Berotte, who was the first Haitian to become president of a college in the United States. My love for cooking never ceased so I decided to become Food Manager certified and after volunteering to cook for hundreds of Haitian Migrants who arrived at the Texas border. Some of the volunteers tried my food and I began getting opportunities to cater throughout Houston. I have also been blessed with the opportunities to cater for celebrities like LL COOL J and THE ROOTS during their tour stop in Houston. I have always wanted my own brick and mortar and I was able to leave education to pursue my entrepreneurial dream. I just recently opened my brick and mortar, take out restaurant, V
