My name is Dr Melissa Jules and I was born and raised in Haiti. I moved to the states at the age of 19 years old to pursue my college education. I obtained my Doctorate in pharmacy from Nova Southeastern University, Florida . Following graduation I began working for major retail pharmacies such as CVS and Walgreens. Shortly after I started working I felt very unfulfilled and that I wasn’t living up to my full potential. So I started working overtime in order to pay off my school loans and save for my future pharmacy that I wanted to open back home. It took me only 4 years to do so and I was able to move back home and open my pharmacy at the heart of Petion Ville. The beginning was very difficult as I had to do everything myself . But 8 years later I can say proudly that I have a thriving pharmacy open 24 hours offering several services such as home deliveries, curbside pickup, free injections, free blood sugar and blood pressure checks, and so much more. I wanted to be on the cover of Haiti open as an example of a young female entrepreneur who moved to Haiti and is managing a successful business.
