Abugail Desravines is the current Public Relations/Marketing Chair of the Greater Haitian American Chamber of Commerce. Abigail has been an instrumental person in organizing and building a response team for the influx of arriving Haitians to Central Florida. Abigail founded Global Help Center and partnered with the Consulate of Haiti-Orlando to create a Haitian Task Force to respond to the needs of hundreds of Haitians without food, shelter, and familial support. Abigail hosted resource fairs twice a week at a local Haitian church which allowed the Haitian community to receive a free legal consultation, free medical service, and free groceries. Abigail is a staple in the Haitian community statewide. She is my first call when I know someone needs support or a friendly face. Her dedication to the Haitian community is beautiful. She is an embodiment of the a young Haitian leader. She has championed language access for the Haitian community and defended the rights of Haitians at numerous press conferences.
