I am a American Haitian Descendant who comes from a two parent home who both were born and raised in Okap Haiti. There has been many times I’ve been told “you don’t look haitian” or I can’t believe you speak creole! Haitian people are underestimated all the time. We are beautiful people and our country is beautiful despite what the media shows and tell us. I want to be selected to show people for who we really are inside & out, and to try to make a change in my country.
