Our Haitian artists and creators had some incredible moments this year. From heartfelt hit songs like “Brize” by Troubleboy Hitmaker and Tafa Mi-Soleil, and “Hello” from Fatima Altieri, to collabs like “Safe” from mainstream artists like John Legend, Michaël Brun, and Rutshelle Guillaume, and double-hit collaborations by Richard Cave with Kenny Haiti in “Pi Bon Chwa” and Rutshelle Guillaume with “Tolere w,” and longtime duo K-dilak and Bedjine releasing the “Misyon Akonpli” album together, and CaRiMi will be performing in an arena in New York on December 27, while Medjy Toussaint is selling an arena in Québec, Canada, for his February 22, 2025, 48Rebecca concert, and Joé Dwèt Filé is filling arenas with back-to-back sold-out shows in Paris, while his diverse crowds are singing his global smash hit “4 Kampé”.
It was also a stellar year for many other Haitian artists and creators who made the magazine’s Top 40 Artists & Creators cover story nominations this year, and we applaud all of them for their continued effort to contribute to the Haitian culture. We believe that among the top 10 most-voted cover story nominees this year, Joé Dwèt Filé‘s remarkable global impact in 2024 deserves a cover story, in-depth analysis, and further promotion to inspire others in the Haitian community.
Our other four finalists, Rutshelle Guillaume, Troubleboy Hitmaker, Fatima Altieri, and Dadou DYS, will each receive a sponsored photoshoot from the magazine for their two-page interview spread inside the print magazine and their own digital covers.
This upcoming magazine edition will be released by May 18, 2025.Â
Each year, Haiti Open magazine nominates 40 artists and creators who have produced outstanding Haitian-related content in that calendar year and holds an annual contest (from 12.12 through 12.21) that allows fans to vote on which artist or creator should be the cover story of the year.
The magazine will select the cover person from the top 10 most-voted artists and creators at the end of the contest (12.21.2024).Â
Cast your daily vote for your favorite artist or creator (from 12.12 through 12.21) to help decide which artist or creator should be Haiti Open magazine’s cover story of the year. Each artist and creator has a unique voting link you (or their team) can share.
