Servotel

The Servotel is a stylish and modest hotel in Haiti. It is less than ten years old, and yet, it has grown in popularity rather quickly. The hotel has a comfortable blend of modern architecture and high-quality customer service. It was designed to be a business-oriented hotel. Because of this, you won’t find as many families and tourists staying there. Instead, the most frequent guests are business people.

Port-au-Prince is the location of Servotel. Once you arrive at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, you won’t have to travel very far to get to the hotel. It is positioned right across the street from the airport. That would explain why it is a business-oriented hotel because businesspeople coming into town won’t have to travel very far to get to their meeting place.

The hotel has been constructed out of paraseismic steel, which means the structure is resistant to earthquakes and the kind of damage they can cause. Miyamoto International Structural and Earthquake Engineers is the organization that designed the building, so it is certified to be earthquake safe. Servotel was the first Haitian hotel made from this material.

Travelers need a hearty dose of comfort every now and then, and a stay in a quality hotel can be just what they’re looking for. If you’re the kind of traveler who likes to treat yourself to a comfy home base in between exploring and wandering, here are a few reasons why you should consider a stay at the Servotel in Haiti.

Reviews

The Servotel is a three-star hotel. That might deter some people from wanting to stay there, but it is not that bad at all. The average price per night Is $126, and for that, you get more than enough amenities to keep you occupied. It is not a beachfront resort or luxury spa resort, so don’t expect to perform any water sports or water-based recreational activities. However, if you’re a business person coming to town or trying to entertain clients, then Servotel can offer you access to a business center and meeting room.

Since the hotel is in Port-au-Prince, you can find a lot of cultural attractions and landmarks in the area. Some of which include Monnin Gallery, Marassa Gallery, Iron Market, and Port-au-Prince Cathedral. The driving times to the nearby attractions include 17 minutes to the Iron Market, 19 minutes to the Cathedral, 19 minutes to the National Pantheon Museum, and 27 minutes to the Church of Saint Peter.

The Building

The first para-seismic steel building in all of Haiti, the Servotel is an interesting work of architecture and an example of Haitian innovation.
