By Alex Popa

Rosena Augustin was born and still lives in Gonayiv, where she works relentlessly to improve her visibility and work towards her life’s goals. She believes life as a Haitian is hard, especially for someone who has higher goals in life. She aims to become a model and draws most of her inspiration from Eden Berandoive, as well as her Haitian heritage.

Despite her difficult life in Haiti, she never loses hope, as she considers herself optimistic, positive, and a free spirit. She also believes in the value of hard work and that hard work will eventually pay off. It all comes down to determination, patience, and resilience. “What affects me the most as a Haitian is the lack of opportunities. But that doesn’t stop me from being optimistic and believing that as long as someone works, they can expose their talent and prove their worth to the whole world.”

Education, Work, and Accomplishments

Rosena completed her classical studies degree at College Peniel des Gonaives and College Adventistes des Gonaives. She also studied Computer Science with the goal of making a profession out of it. In the meantime, though, she focuses on her true assets: her amazing physical presence, charm, and unique Haitian vibe that comes about so rarely.

This is why she currently works as a model and ambassador for various companies, whenever the opportunity arises. This allows her to expand on her natural gifts and work to improve her social presence and confidence.

Rosena sees her entry into the modeling world as one of her biggest and most important achievements. Not because it was necessarily difficult, but because it was scary, especially for someone with self-confidence issues who’s never been in the spotlight before. But as Rosena puts it: “I hesitated a lot, but I eventually decided to launch because I became aware that success is for those who dare.”

This was just her first step towards success. Since then, Rosena has opened her own business and been nominated for the Top100 in the Open Haitian challenge. The way she sees it, her journey has just begun.

Long-Term Goals

Rosena has set her goals over the course of many years and works relentlessly to achieve them. These goals include becoming a world-class model, moving into the world of cosmetics, and taking her business to the next level. These goals require an unparalleled level of commitment, self-improvement, confidence, and work. Rosena thinks nothing is beyond her reach.

That’s why she works around the clock to better herself. She reads a lot in her spare time because “knowledge is the basis of success”, and she spends time with her friends, goes camping, and visits other places as often as she can. Rosena Augustin always stays true to her nature, which is to be as outgoing and friendly as possible. In her view, this will help her connect with people, empathize with their problems, and become a role model for the younger generation.
